Children’s Summer Program Series
Corporate and community volunteers metro-wide will have fun in the fields and help combat food insecurity this July at the 2022 Amaizing Sweet Corn Glean-A-Thon and Sweet Corn Festival. Over the course of two weeks in mid-July, competing teams will have a three-hour window to harvest as much sweet corn as possible. The competition will culminate in a Sweet Corn Festival on July 30 at the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame. “Bee” A Scientist summer adventure. Explore how different scientists discover and learn about our natural world. Water is our first one on Thursday, June 16 at 10:00 AM (new time!). Wonderful Wildlife will be on July 14 and Fabulous Forests will be on August 12. Free to attend but registration is required. Get all the details here.

Education is at the forefront of our purpose and is interwoven in everything we do. Whether exploring the museum exhibits and living history displays on your own or on a guided tour, you’ll gain a greater understanding of our agricultural past and future. Check out our free monthly programs for children. We also offer guided tours for school groups and adult groups.

Our hours
Hours: Museum buildings are open Thursday-Saturday, 10 AM – 2 PM for self-guided tours. It’s best to allow at least two hours or more for your visit. If you would like a guided tour, or are traveling through Kansas City at any time and would like to stop by, or have a group of school children who would like a fun, educational field trip, please call to make arrangements. We love sharing the treasures at the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame! Call 913-721-1075.
