This re-created farmstead includes the Smith House, farm shed, chicken coop, and an eight-sided wooden silo that was recently moved to the site. In 2003 a multi-purpose barn with indoor modern facilities was added to the farmstead.

Morris Railroad Depot

This livestock depot was built in Morris, Kansas in 1887 and moved to the Center in 1987.

McConnell's Blacksmith

Re-creation of an original shop houses over 300 anvils, an early automobile and carpentry tools.

Island Creek School

Island Creek School

Built in 1917 in Piper, Kansas and served students until 1961. In 1976 the school was moved to the Center and is currently used to hold early 1900's classes during special events and educational programs.

Poultry Hatchery

This building currently displays artifacts relating to the poultry industry.

General Store

The general store sold all the necessities, and served as the bank, post office and a place for town gossip.
